Alexandria, VA, December 3, 2010: District I participated in the Holiday Design Showcase for the Home, a fundraiser for the 2011 National Garden Club Convention. District I provided the name tags for participants. Connie Dalpra of Woodbury Garden Club, Poss Tarpley of Tanta-Cove Garden Club and District I Director David Healy checked registrations at the door and District I, with Poss' help, provided the vegetable trays for the refreshments tables.
Three District I clubs donated children's gift baskets for the silent auction: Cheverly Garden Club donated this Adirondack chair basket (l); and Woodmoor donated a pink tub of art supplies:

The event was attended by National Garden Club President Renee Blaschke (l); the jewelry resale table was swarmed during breaks in the program.
